Percussion "tapping" acoustic guitar is often overlooked as a genre. It is a mystery to me why though, because these are often the best and the brightest musicians on the six (or twelve) string. Stylistic points of the genre include using the guitar as a percussion instrument while playing, slap harmonics, and alternate tunings.
