This is just a short article of why I love music so much and how much it has helped me.
I grew up in a musical family. 95% of my musical family lives in the states while live in Jamaica. I notice while growing up my mom has always been singing at home, at church, where ever she goes. While attending secondary school i started t o develop a love for music and for a special entertainer. I loved singers like Whitney, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, and many others.
Growing up i use to fantasize about living with this special entertainer in a beautiful house that we bought together, having a couple of kids and so on. I fantasize about meeting all the singers i loved so much and recording with them. I saw myself as a great singer, song writer, producer, director, all the great things. When i grew a bit older i realize that i need to let go of some of those fantasies but i still held on to my love for music. I see and hear things in music that my immediate family don’t seem to understand. Music makes me HAPPY even when I’m sad it makes me feels strong even when I’m sick. Music fulfills me. Music lights up my world and makes me whole.
Currently, i am not a brilliant singer but i do try my best. I practise from time to time when i do have the time and it seems to be getting better. I still believe that i will become a GREAT singer, maybe the greatest of all time.
