A song that I am proud of. It has a great Jack Johnson type of melody.
The light entered
Without a knock
It covered you
Your heart unlocked
Laying on the long green grass
Your raven hair resting on one side
And the other side shined like sliced diamonds
And your eyes got wide
When you looked at me
And said oh my my
Wouldn’t you believe
Look at the leaves
Under the moonlight
It makes you think about
All the people fighting
If only they knew
What we know
One by one
I came up with reasons
Why I love you so
Oh but I lost track
In the long green grass
Your singing my songs
In a layed back pose
And talking to the stars
Your eyes did glow
Like they were homesick
And needed the night
As a blanket
I provided insight
And said in a past life
You must have been
The most beautiful thing
That ever lived
Plucked from the sky
And your still the same
Year by year
Nothing has changed
If only they knew
What we know
And everyday
I’m so grateful I got you
I love the way you talk
But you don’t got to
Cause in these long years
I can read you like
Pictured pages
When to everyone else
Your a different language
So hard to grasp
On another level
In another class
A shining rebel
Made of broken glass
And a pillow soul
I could rest with
Forever watching the moon
If only they knew
