The top ten songs of the week.
At number one, we have Fireflies by Owl City, from the album Ocean eyes. A digital/techno song that quickly climbed to the top of the charts by a new and upcoming band, Fireflies has a very catchy tune and is definitely deserving of the #1 spot.
Sitting at number two, Whatcha Say by Jason Derulo, is currently into its 11th week on the charts, and is a very well put together song that will have you singing it long after you have heard it.
At number three, Down from Jay Sean and Lil Wayne becomes the bronze medalist. With original lyrics and a constant theme of love, it really isn’t much of a surprise that this song from relative newcomer Jay Sean makes it into the top ten.
At number four, Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus has quickly climbed from new release to top ten song. With a very addicting beat and original lyrics, this song is the next hit from the pop sensation.
Currently in the number five slot, Run This Town by Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kanye West begins its fourteenth week on the charts. With great rapping from Jay-Z and Kanye, and an amazing chorus by Rihanna, this song is very deserving of the number five spot.
At number six we have Paparazzi by Lady Gaga. Not exactly a new song, this song has been the sensual singer’s next big hit, off of her album The Fame as a bonus track.

In the number seven spot, Meet Me Halfway from The Black Eyed Peas is holding it’s own. Like Paparazzi, it’s not a new song, but the fact that it’s still in the top ten speaks for itself when it comes to the quality of the track.
At number eight, 3 by Britney Spears from her album, The Singles Collection has sunk from the number one spot in the three weeks that it’s been on the top ten. While a great song, it doesn’t seem to measure up to the newly recovered singer’s other work. Still, deserving of at least number seven.
In ninth, The Black Eyed Peas have a second song in the top ten. I Gotta Feeling enters it’s twentieth week on the charts, becoming probably the bands best track ever. Containing a good beat and lyrics that will keep you singing for hours, this song is probably the catchiest song in the top ten.
And finally, at number ten we have Sweet Dreams from Beyonce. After Single Ladies, Halo and If I Was A Boy, it is no surprise that she easily slides into the top ten with yet another song.
Keep posted for next weeks songs!
