In the early nineties Take That were one of the biggest boy bands and produced some memorable records. After splitting in 1996, they reformed in 2005, without Robbie Williams, and have gone on to produce even more hit records. Here are Take Thats top 10 songs. Enjoy!
When Take That were first on the block they consisted of Gary Barlow, Jason Orange, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Robbie Williams. They sold 25 million records between the years of 1991 and 1996, before they split up.
In 2005 they reformed, but without Robbie Williams and went on to sell more records with hit singles. In 2010 it was revealed that Robbie Williams would be rejoining the group with a new album.
So in the years that they have been successful what have been their top 10 releases? Here are my top 10 Take That singles.
10. A Million Love Songs ( 1992 )
Gary Barlow actually wrote this song when he was just 15 years old. It is a love song, dare i say! and has wonderful lyrics to it. Typical of Take That i feel. It is covered a lot on reality TV shows, because of the range of vocals.
09. Pray ( 1993)
This was their first number 1, and a memorable song by the boy band. The lyrics are fantastic and in general the song is great. The video is set in Mexico on the beach and is fantastic.

08. Everything Changes ( 1994 )
Yet again another great song by Take That, and another Number 1. The unusual thing about this song is the lead vocals are done by Robbie Williams, who was known mainly as a backing singer.
07. Relight My Fire Ft. Lulu ( 1993)
I personally love this song partly because Lulu features as well with vocals, and adds a kind of feminine touch to it. The lyrics are also catchy and the song is easy to sing a long to.
06. Back For Good ( 1995 )
This was the only Take That song that managed to get into the US Top 10, so this was a big hit for them. The chorus is particularly good and is one of the better ones.
05. Shine ( 2007 )
I much prefer Take That’s recent singles to their later ones. They seem to have returned with a different style and i think it suits them much better. The lead vocals were done by Mark Owen and this gave this single a more upbeat and different sound.

04. Said It All ( 2009 )
Said It All was another song with a different twist to it. The vocals were done by Barlow and Owen and sounds good. It did not reach Number 1, instead it got to Number 9 in the UK charts.
03. Rule The World ( 2007 )
This reached Number 2 in the UK charts and this is one of my all time favorites. It was first written for the film stardust. It is a great feel good song and has uplifting lyrics.
02. Greatest Day ( 2008 )
This was a fantastic Number 1 for Take That. The video is simple but very effective and overall deserves the Number 2 spot in this list.
01. Patience ( 2006 )
Ten years after splitting up and releasing their last single, Take That came back in 2006 with the Number 1 single, Patience. I can not think of any other song sung by Take That that deserves the top spot on this list.
There you have it, my top 10 Take That songs- and they are even better in concert! Which songs do you like? and which ones would you have had that are not on the list?
