Welcome to this weeks top 10 songs of the week for week 23/08/10- 29/08/10. Remember this is what i have been listening to this week and is not the chart itself.

I love music. Wherever i go or whatever i do i am constantly listening to music. I find that music is like a language and in some cases it is meant to be understood, whilst at other times it is not. Every week, depending upon what mood i have been in, i listen to different songs. These songs make up my top 10 songs of the week. I also like to read what others have been listening to as well…. so add your suggestions!

10. Rihanna- Umbrella

I know this is an old song, but this week i have been playing it non stop! I love the beats and the general tune. Jay Z is excellent at the beginning as well. This is still my favorite Rihanna track so far, and she has released a fair amount now. It was the song that really catapulted her into the superstar status. The lyrics can be a tad catchy as well… umbrella, ella, ella!!

09. Leona Lewis- I Got You

Leona Lewis won The X Factor in 2006. She has since gone on to be a global star and has had huge hits whilst smashing records at the same time. This is a beautiful song that she has released. It has tender lyrics that you could take to mean anything if you set your imagination free. Been listening to it a fair amount this week.

08. Black Eyed Peas- I Gotta Feeling

One of my favorite Black Eyed Peas tracks thus far. I Gotta Feeling is an upbeat, feel good song that makes you feel good after listening to it. They have done incredibly well since they released some of their earlier material, and their album The E.N.D did fantastically well.

08. Pink- Who Knew

This is a special song for me, as it is one that reminds me about someone that died. It is that anniversary soon and so i have been listening to it. The lyrics are sad and i suppose they say what that feeling of longing doesn’t and after i have played this song, i do feel better. It is a great song anyway and i love Pink also.
