The top ten country songs about love, in my opinion. If you disagree or would like to add more songs to the list, please leave a comment with the name of the song and the artist that sings it.
10. He Didn’t Have to Be- Brad Paisley
This song is about a boy who’s mother got remarried. His new stepfather was the dad he had always dreamed of having, even though he didn’t have to be.

9. Teardrops on my Guitar- Taylor Swift
This song is about a girl who is in love with a guy who is in love with someone else. Need I say more?

8. Buy Me a Rose- Kenny Rogers
This song is about a couple that forgets that to show love, you don’t need a bunch of money. All you need is time and caring.
7. My Valentine- Martina McBride
Beautiful song about love.
6. When I Said I Do- Clint Black
What it really means when you say I do on your wedding day.
5. Check Yes or No- George Straight
This is one of my favorite songs. It is all about a boy and a girl who fall in love with each other in third grade and grow up to become married.
4. Good Stuff- Kenny Chesney
This song is about remembering what love is all about, especially when things seem hard.
3. From This Moment On- Shania Twain
This song is all about love. The singer sings that from this moment on, she will always love her man.
2. Keeper of The Stars- Tracy Byrd
A song, thanking God for sending true love.
1. Forever and Ever, Amen – Randy Travis
A man singing that he will forever love this woman.

I am a avid country music fan and loves the majority of the songs listed,,especially Randy Travis. But to me,it depends on the mood and why you are looking for a love song that makes it the best.I would have included George Straits I cross my heart on this but that’s just me …Or Bobby Bare..Running Bear. A older song granted, but a love story in a song anyway.other then that, great songs listed here.

Hey Sarah, Good article. I love country music and i am only 21 yrs old. People would think i am old, but country music gives you peace and make you want to give your all when loving a person. By being a lover of country music you are a good person and so i am positive that you are a good, humble and peaceful person yourself.
Keep up the good work!

Hi. I’d add “bless the broken road” by rascal flatts.
I may not know much about country music but this song popped into my head when I read your list.

Very good list. If you like country music and the love songs then visit Jim Reeves – The Country Music Legend at http://www.squidoo.com/jimreeves
I think that you will like a lot of his music even though it is before your time.
