The 10 Best Selling Singles of 2010…

Music is in my opinion an important part of life- no matter what type of music you listen to. Anyway, there are many singles released every week that battle it out for the number 1 spot in the charts.

2010 has been a big year for music with some fantastic singles being released and outstanding collaborations. As you may know, i wrote an article earlier in the year which listed the 7 best selling singles of 2010. You can find that article by clicking here.

It is now later in the year and i thought it would be interesting to see if any of the singles on the first list are still on this list a few months later. So here are the 10 best selling singles of 2010.

10. Rihanna- Rude Boy:

A great song from Rihanna that was in the charts for many weeks. I think it kind of shocked people really and that was what made it like able.

09. Alicia Keys- Empire State Of Mind Part II:

After the phenomenal success of the first version with Jay Z, you could forgive this version for not doing as well, but that wasn’t the case. Alicia Keys sings it beautifully and no wonder why it is 9th on the best selling singles list.

08. Tinie Tempah- Pass Out:

This was Tinie Tempah’s debut single and features new artist, Labrinth. Tinie Tempah has a different rapping style to many so he was and still is a breath of fresh air.

07. Yolanda Be Cool & D Cup- We No Speak Americano:

I did not like this single when it came out, but i know many people did. To be fair to the song, it did grow on me and it was certainly different.

06. B.O.B Ft Hayley Williams- Airplanes:

After his success with Nothin On You, B.O.B came back with Paramore girl Hayley Williams on this fantastic single. They seem to have a great working relationship which is surprising considering they have never even met.

05. Katy Perry Ft Snoop Dogg- California Gurls:

This was one of the great collaborations of the year and Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg certainly produced a great single. It was in the charts for weeks and certainly deserves a place in the best selling singles list.

04. Helping Haiti- Everybody Hurts:

After the terrible earthquake in Haiti, stars teamed up to produce a single and raise money for charity to help the people of Haiti. Stars include Take That, Alexandra Burke, Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle and JLS.

03. Usher Ft Will.I.Am- O.M.G:

Usher made his comeback with a new album with this terrific single and teamed up with Black Eyed Peas man, Will.I.Am. Has only just stopped featuring in the charts and is a big favorite.

02. Owl City- Fireflies:

Fireflies was a massive single and is still played many times a day on many radio stations. Excellent for Owl City to come in at number 2 on the 10 biggest selling singles of 2010 list.

01. Eminem & Rihanna- Love The Way You Lie:

I don’t think there are any real surprises for the number 1 spot here. This is a fantastic single and the biggest one of the year.

The only big losers of this biggest selling singles of 2010 list are Lady Gaga and Beyonce with Telephone. All the rest of the singles have been huge successes and deserve their place.
