Symphonic metal is one of life’s greatest comforts. Having all of the 90 different instruments from a symphony into one song is just indescribable.
Symphonic metal is a genre that is mostly prevalent in Europe, but it is becoming increasingly popular in North America. The reasons for this are because the music is so beautiful, there is meaning to it, and the many instruments or sound effects used to make the songs intrigue us. Granted there are other great genres and subgenres of music such as heavy metal, power metal, and symphonic speed metal. However, notice that all these are subgenres of metal music. Good metal music has special qualities associated with it such as powerful male or female vocalists that are able to sing all the way up to falsetto, experienced guitarists that are able to play smoothly yet fast paced, professional drummers that are able to help keep the beat up, and the keyboardists that are able to give the real feeling of an opera, orchestra, or symphony. Overall, symphonic metal gives the certain perception of comfort. When you are down it touches you and makes you feel better. When you are not down, it inspires and influences you. If you listen to symphonic metal, you can safely say that you listen to songs with meaning and thought put behind them. I have, personally, noticed that songs in this genre hardily ever promote and use swearing or taking of the Lord’s name in vain. This is always good news as you will not be embarrassed to spread and listen to this genre of music with your family and close friends.
