While poetry is beautiful, it is music that can make it lyrical.
I have always wanted to wdo something with music, even though I’ve known my whole life that I’m not terrific. But recently a friend of mine told me to take some of my poems and enter this songwriting contest, being hosted by country singer/songwriter Craig Morgan. I got really excited to hear about that and have been going through a lot of my poems. It turns out that there is this website, that if you record, you can post your own songs and music. It’s called muziboo and I find the site to be really cool for anyone who wants some feedback. You can link your uploads there to your facebook page s well, in order to get more traffic. The song I’m entering can be found at this link, http://www.muziboo.com/mdegenhardt/music/a-matter-of-time/. If you listen, I’d love to get feedback. If you’re digging the site, please upload some of your stuff as I’d love to hear it.
