It takes more than talent and charisma to become a star. What is the essential element?
Many dream with a singing career; many have melodic voices. They go to auditions, train their voices, and polish their image, all in hopes of making it as a singer – of becoming a star. A good voice and a good image are important but there is one element that is essential (besides a good manager) – the ability to handle the spot light.
With a singing career come the demands of a hectic schedule, promotion, long hours, publicity, the paparazzi, the fans, and the constant artistic demands. If an artist cannot take the pressures of fame, he/she may as well say good bye to stardom. Susan Boyle, a latest sensation, is a good example. Fans love her; her voice is just divine. With an enchanting voice, a charismatic personality, and thousands of fans, the aspiring artist has been known to get stressed out by all the attention she is getting. If Susan wants to have an active career as a singer – and a star – she will have to learn to embrace the overwhelming public, and the demands of being a public figure.
There is more to a singer than a beautiful voice, image, talent, and charisma. Behind the star, there is a strong personality.

So true. I don’t think even she thought she would be such a sensation.

You’re absolutely right. Her career is going to be very interesting to watch. She’s already had a break down.
