Seo in Gook ─ Calling You

Seo In Gook is the winner of 2009 SuperStar K, where SuperStar K is like the Korean version of American Idol. I haven’t watched it, so I don’t know how much better he was compared to the other contestants. From listening to his first two songs, “Young Love” and “Calling You”, he’s not bad. However, I don’t like “Young Love” as for now, it’s probably because there is no music video for it as yet xD. I need to watch the music video in order to really listen to the song, weird I know .

Since “Calling You” has a music video, I really enjoyed the song, but not the music video itself. The music video was a girl just beating up the guy, and then she randomly gets happy and then they kiss for a moment and then she starts beating him up again. But I didn’t really understand the video, I think he’s dead or something, I don’t know it was weird. If any of you guys understand it, please explain it to me xD haha. Any who, back to the song. I really do like the song, I think it is really nice. However, this song sounded like two other songs. The chorus of the song sounds like a church song called “Here I Am To Worship” and then the ‘Oh Oh Oh’ part after the chorus it sounds like “No One” by Alicia Keys. I don’t like when singer’s take parts from other songs, but I have to admit that most of the time it does sound nice, like this song haha.

So, I watched the music video and I was like hey he’s pretty cute, not bad. Then I try to look for some head shot pictures of him because most of his pictures of his side view. And I guess I can see why, since he isn’t very good looking… or just maybe not very photogenic? Nonetheless, he is a good singer and looks should not matter . But seriously, this is the best head shot that I could find of him xD haha. I found a picture of him in a far view, and he looked pretty good there haha. Any who, he is not the best looking, but he’s got the voice, so it’s all good! In the end, I really like his song, “Calling You”, it’s a nice ballad song and the lyrics are meaningful. Hope you guys will listen to it.
