A review of the Selena biopic.

Many, especially in the Hispanic community mourned the loss of Selena Quintanilla-Perez on March 31,1995. She was a vibrant and talented singer, loved by all who met her, and was well on her way to stardom. She had just finished work on her first English-language album just prior to her death. Her dad, Abraham oversaw the direction of a biopic about her life. This article is both a review of the film, and a tribute,to a woman gone too soon.
I believe the film was a fitting memorial to her, I also believe that it helped her music be heard by the millions that would have been fans anyway. Deaths are always tragic, but memories remain, the way a person lives their lives is their true legacy. I want to pay my respects, here and now and send my condolences to her family.
I hope many future generations get the great opportunity to hear her music and be touched by it. Thank you Sel for the lives you touched, and you will not be forgotten. I didn’t hear Selena’s music until after her death, but even so,I am glad I got the opportunity at all.
To Abraham, & the Quintanilla family,I wish the best to you all,as well as her husband Chris.
Know that the world mourns with you.
