Give them a song and they could make it their own. Which artist today don’t realize. Your version must enhance or surpass the original. While Jackie Wilson, was a dancer. Sam Cooke wasn’t. But they could sing rings around others at the time. While credit is given to Cooke, as a smart business mind. Who control his master recording? You’ve got to ponder after all these years. Why some of his family doesn’t see one dime from his publishing?What with all this mess in the recording business? Somewhere answers must lie. And the same with Jackie Wilson. The oddest thing is the tragic death of each man. Jackie Wilson, from a stroke. And Sam Cooke, from a shooting. And as much as we speculate about Cooke death. That what it will be. His nephew can write about this or that. But facts remain, he did leave with the lady in question. And we can’t say he wasn’t trying to by pleasure. Entertainers has always soughted others on the road. The investigation might has been slighted. But something inspired for the whole scene to happen.
