Ryan Leslie

     I think no matter what kind of music your into, you can learn to appreciate a talent like Ryan Leslie. Simply put, the man is amazing. For those of you who are not familiar with him, let me introduce you.

     Ryan Leslie was born September 25th, 1978 and is the founder of Next Selection. Most people may not know he scored a perfect 1600 on his SAT’s and graduated from Harvard at the age of 19. He can sing, rap, produce and play a variety of instruments.  

     For a while he was quietly working under the radar. Most people didn’t start to realize who he was until he came out with his single “Diamond Girl”. However, he signed Cassie and produced her hit single “Me and You”. The number of artists that Ryan Leslie has worked with is long. Among those people would be Fabolous, Cassie, B5, Danity Kane and Keri Hilson. 

Here is a clip of Ryan Leslie producing two of his songs “I Gets Money” and “Addiction”. I admire his hard work and creativeness. I haven’t seen many producers that have all of the talents he does. 

     Ryan Leslie has his on-line fan base to thank for much of his success. He has done an amazing job of utilizing the Internet to his advantage. He records himself often and posts new videos all the time to keep people updated with what he is working on. I think people really enjoy seeing the process that is involved with making music. His sound is very unique and unlike anyone else out there in the music world.
