Yes, that’s right, you heard correctly. Rebecca Black is beginning to rise to fame and popularity.
It all started out when the young 13 year old girl Rebecca Black created a music video called Friday with her friends. She posted it on YouTube and over night it went viral reaching millions and millions of views. Unfortunately for her, most of these views were left with a response of negative hate and the ratings bar formed a big red line with a bit of green on it. In other words, it was not popular and I can see why. Her voice sounded like 3 bloodhounds being dragged along the road by a car at 80 miles per hour and the repetitiveness was terrible. The word “Friday” repeated over and over. It was really awful. After numerous death threats and hate mail Rebecca removed the video and her existence disappeared for a while, but she returned once again with a new song called “My Moment” which was all based around her fame. It was a bit up herself type thing but did sound a lot better in comparison to Friday. This was a little more liked and one thing led to another and out comes her latest single “Person of Interest”. Rebecca now leads a successful sprouting musical career and is really getting her name out there with the big shots like Katy Perry.
I think that like many stars she had a bad starting out but despite the hate and death threats she persisted and achieved her goals. People are beginning to wake up to this and the fact that she doesn’t try to be “cool” she just is herself, Rebecca. I think people respect her for this. She does have talent, and while she may not be the best she is a lot better than some and a girl with good moral and qualities. People have woken up and respect her for this and she is now rather popular. It will be interesting to follow her musical career and see where it takes her.
