This is the OFFICIAL thread for the new band, The Flying Pigs.
The Flying Pigs are officially sponsored by Rockets, "One handful is never enough…"
Hi there,
For decades, we have seen some of the greatest Rock Bands from and show the world the ultimate of Rock n Roll. Bands like, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Bon Jovi are just some to prove this point. Yet, now we are forced to put up with rubbish artists by the names of Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and even Taylor Swift and they’re petty, pointless ‘music’. Is this really music?
We’ll look no further. In recent weeks, a group of young teenagers have begun to form a ‘soon to be hit’ virtual band (from the hit video game, “Rock Band”) named The Flying Pigs.
Yes, I know it sounds crazy and a little bit stupid, although the band has made extraordinary progress in completing their debut album “Even Muslims’ Like Us” and have also been blessed with their first official sponsor, Rocklets, the best chocolate confectionary for only $4.99 at Woolworths. The Flying Pigs have been working extremely hard to get new songs out to our dear fans; the ones who will help us achieve ultimate success in years to come.
The Flying Pigs have already done a few recordings at one of the band members’ home, to songs like Pinball Wizard, Reputation, and Livin’ on a Prayer. Recently, we have been practising our instrumental playing while enjoying the goodness of Rocklets, only available at Woolworths for $4.99.
In the soon to be released debut album, these are just some of the classic recordings which will be held on the album:
1. Beds are Burning
2. Whole Lotta Rocklets (copy of ‘Whole Lotta Rosie’)
3. We Built This City
Our first song, “Beds are Burning”, which was made famous by a classic Australian band, Midnight Oil, was definitely one of our favourite songs before we started this band. Peter Garrett, the lead singer of Midnight Oil and the present Health Minister of the Labor Party, really inspired us to fulfil our dream in becoming virtual Rock Band. Thank you, Peter.
Our second song on our debut album, “Whole Lotta Rocklets”, which is a cover of AC/DC’s “Whole Lotta Rosie”, was a great song to play and this song also helped us spread the word about our great sponsor, Rocklets, which are $4.99 for 600 grams at Woolworths. The lyrics were written by myself and I believe they were the right words to chose for the song (listen to the song, it is very good).
And our final confirmed song, “We Built This City”, is a terrific song for our main vocalist as he is able to really pump out the right tune, all the time. Unfortunately, our lead singer hasn’t been attending practice recently, due to doctor appointments. We hope he is okay and we especially hope his vocal chords are okay as well.
Well, that’s enough about The Flying Pigs for now. Soon, we will be releasing a bio about the band members. Please, stay tuned, and thank you once again to Peter Garrett, the one who inspired us, and our sponsor, Rocklets, which are available at Woolworths for only $4.99. They are also way better than M&M’s. Remember, “One handful of Rocklets is never enough…”.
