Nine Inch Nails Has New Music Soon

All month Trent Reznor has been publishing photos onto his website. Most have been of specific audio equipment or some aspect of music creation. The only exception would be the picture of the skull on top of a desk. Although, even that was taken within their studio. Obviously, Trent is planning to release some music. 

The mystery of all this is in what kind of project he’s working on. Could it be another full album? It seems a bit soon compared to  his past album release gaps, but still a possibility. There’s also a good chance he could be producing someone else’s album as he’s done in the past with Marilyn Manson and Saul Williams. Though, he probably wouldn’t tease that so much unless it’s a major collaboration.

Many people have also speculated the possibility of another instrumental album similar to “Ghosts“. The photos alone do seem to imply it will be instrumental because all have been of instruments and no microphone or vocal equipment. Chances are it will be an instrumental album coupled with another surprise.

Whatever it is, it’s going to be something big. The last time Trent did something like this, he released “The Slip” as a free download on his website accompanied with new remix files released exclusively online. Heres to hoping it’s something like that again and not another “Ghosts” or “With Teeth.” 

UPDATE: NIN has just released a photo of Trent Singing so this upcoming release will most definitely be a full vocal album.
