Within this week, I am going to be publishing a different style of music – Metalcore, Hardcore, and Metal with an infusion of Punk and Pop.
I’ve finally come back from my long period of no publishing, and I’ve been busy with school. But, it’s inspired me. I’ve seen family, got introduced to new bands, seen a couple more, increased my musical appeal range. So I’ve decided to write about some more bands. This time, within the Metal section. Not only this, but I found a new area of interest – psychopaths, sociopaths, and serial killers. Be prepared to see some of them. (Sorry for the no new articles within the weeks after writing my last one, I’ve been caught up in school work and that snazzy jazz).
Abandon All Ships

Abandon All Ships is a recently debuted band in Canada. With a style similar to Attack! Attack!, they bring a Metal/Hardcore/Pop sound to the industry of Canada. Signed to not one, not two, but four record labels, Abandon All Ships is going to increase the fan base they previously created. With the bands current members – Angelo Aita (vocals), Martin Broda (clean vocals, bass), Sebastian Cassisi-Nunez (synthesizers, keyboards), Kyler Stephen Browne (guitars), Andrew Paiano (guitars) and Daniel Paiano (drums) – they just released their first full album “Geeving” released Tuesday, October 5th. 3 album songs are released on their iTunes if you may be interested in their sound, which is a cross between the well inspired hardcore band Attack! Attack! and many metal bands like August Burns Red.
Abandon All Ships have slowly made a name for themselves before their big break doing many opener spots for many bands like fellow Canadian hardcore band Silverstein. They mainly played Norma Jean cover songs, usually only Norma Jean songs around the beginning of their career, but eventually started to write their own music, which went along with their demo EP release, that included Megawacko, the song they performed for the tv show disBAND, which gave them the big break they’ve been looking for. After the show, they had been signed to 4 different record labels (Rise Records, Underground Operations, Universal Music Canada, and the first band to sign with Velocity Records) which gets them ahead in the music business.
They released their new album 3 days ago, and it is one of the must buys for anyone into this music. Hardcore is a very vast genre and can be manipulated to your own liking. Lets just see how it turns out in the long run as they’re fame grows.
