They don’t call Atlanta Hotlanta for nothing! Let me tell you, if you are looking for sizzling summer nights and opportunities to dance the night away, then Atlanta is definitely the place for you!
Hey guys, it’s me again, Shelby, and man oh man does Atlanta ever appeal to the night owl that perches deep inside my soul! So get off your perch, you’re going to want to shake some tail feathers when you realize just how much fun there is to be had here in Atlanta once the sun goes down.
Maybe it has something to do with the sizzling hot days, but this city truly comes alive when the moon comes up. From harbor cruises to discos, comedy clubs, ballet and theater, you are not going to be lacking for choices when it comes to Atlanta nightlife.
Drop in at the Compound, a three-in-one experience as only Atlanta can dish it up. Dance floors, full bars, VIP lounges and the works, its here that you just might catch a glimpse of celebrities who might be passing through the city. Or maybe you’d like something a little more intimate? Why not try Edie’s Attic?
Eddie’s Attic is a much smaller venue, though it boasts some of the top names in music from all over the world and an atmosphere that will put you in mind of the speakeasies of the 1920’s. Or maybe you’d like something a little more high class? If so, why not try the Havana Club?
The Havana Club is only Atlanta’s most decadent club with three rooms each with its own theme and focus and enough music, mood lighting and drinks to satisfy even the most demanding patron.
Of course you’ll want to start your evening with dinner, and if I’ve ever seen a US city with more restaurants to choose from short of New York, then I can’t remember it. And it’s not just the number of restaurants, it’s the quality. Take Bentley’s Steakhouse for example – simple fare but OMG was it a workout for my taste buds! And the pot pie they serve up at the Publik Draft House is truly to die for. Of course if you want the ultimate dining experience, book one of the harbor dinner cruises for right about sundown. Not only will you get some fabulous food, you’ll be able to dance out on deck to a live band under the stars.
I could go on and on when it comes to food, but suffice it to say that it doesn’t matter where in the city you’re headed, chances are that you are going to find some awesome food and fun, so keep your eyes open, in Atlanta you never know what you’re going to find around the next corner!
And speaking of nightlife, I’m off to the Rooftop Lounge – it’s exactly what it sounds like, and I’m dying to see the city view at night!
