Music is such an amazing thing.
Have you ever heard a song that just speaks to you? The lyrics mean everything to you because they can describe the exact way you’re feeling. Music is linked so closely with memories. It is determined that music affects the brain mostly by triggering memories. When you isten to music when you’re sad, it can turn things around. Sometimes it can’t turn things around, but people do it anyways. I know I couldn’t live without music. I love eminem, and mayday parade. I love artists who have deep, meaningful lyrics because that’s the kind of person I am. There’s music for everbody. There’s rap, jazz, classical, hip hop, pop etc. The list goes on. Different music can be listened to at different times. Happy music when you’re happy, and sad music when you’re sad. But music isn’t only used for recreational purposes. Music is used to help repair brain damage. When somebody has a stroke, say, and they have lost most of their ability to speak. So listening to music associates music with language, making it easier to speak simple sentences. Music can also help people who are struggling with addiction. Music helps take the focus off of the withdrawl symptoms, and since using drugs makes your brain stop making some important chemicals, music is helpful because it increases the level of some chemicals in your brain. Another thing music can do, is boost your immune system, and help prevent seizures. Music is an amazing thing, that will hopefully still be around in time.
