Here are seven songs with catchy tunes and lovely lyrics, but queer ideas that will make you think twice. Will you consider these songs as favorites? Read on.
Most songs have beautiful melodies and thought provoking meanings to go by. Their tunes can be catchy. Oftentimes, we can find ourselves humming along with these, but believe me you wouldn’t want to sing these songs if…
Take Me, I’ll Follow You is a song from the movie ‘Mac and Me’ released in 1988 – an alien picture similar to ET. It was written and originally performed by Bobby Caldwell. Based from the movie, Take Me I’ll Follow You is a heart warming song about friendship. However, listening to the music will make you wonder if the boy is actually in compliance or in hypnosis by the alien friend.
Two Steps Behind is a song by British hard rock band Def Leppard from their album Retro Active released in 1993. It is also the soundtrack in the movie ‘Last Action Hero’. It reached number 5 in the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Two Steps Behind maybe a splendid song for a love promise, but considering the lyrics literally, this song can be scary.
Everybody needs space, especially from lovers.
Leaving on a Jet Plane is a song written by John Denver in 1966 and most famously recorded by Peter Paul and Mary in their album Album 1700 in 1967. This song was also sung by Chantal Kreviazuk in the 1998 film ‘Armageddon’.
Although, the song has much promise, the thought of leaving someone, specially a loved one can still be painful.
One more sad case of a broken heart is to see someone whom you want to spend your life with, married to another person; and just because you are twenty five minutes too late.
25 minutes is a song by composed and sung by Jascha Richter, best lead vocalist and keyboardist of the Danish soft rock band, Michael Learns to Rock.
Bed of roses maybe an English expression, which means an easy and peaceful life, but with the Bed of Roses by John Francis Bongiovi Jr, it’s a different thing.
It’s not about the Bon Jovi band being a hard rock band, it’s in the lyrics. Bed of Roses is an over-radio played song in the 90’s when metal and hip hop groups would clash. Then again, Bed of Roses is neither the song for the metal groups nor the hip hops.
Try singing it yourself and find out.
My way is a song popularized by Frank Sinatra. It was released in the album My Way in 1969 and was regarded as one of the most covered song in history. The lyrics of this song hold so much inspiration of living on how a man handled fate on his terms, although, My Way is also joked as a song of ‘a dying person’ in most karaoke bars.
Care to sing this song? Don’t let anyone shoot you.
With this song, I am really serious. Who would want someone to lose a mother or a father? Or somebody we love? Still, the song Dance with My Father by the late R & B soul singer-song writer Luther Vandross possess the most charming melody that can touch the heart and make us think to love and cherish the ones we love while they are still living.
Finally
Songs are to be enjoyed. No matter how sad or disturbing they are, they are mere songs and nothing more. I hope you enjoyed my silly ideas. Keep on singing my friends

I love “Two Steps Behind” and enjoy playing it on the guitar but I’m no stalker LOL! “Dance With My Father” is a song I could relate to…as I have lost my father some years ago. That song touches the core.

Leaving On A Jet Plane was one of my favourites. I (literally) left – and didn’t go back! Haunting lyrics, but a beautiful song.

Sabi nga, mas masakit, mas maganda. I love these songs and I don’t mind crying while singing them. My husband and kids just laugh at me but that’s alright.
