The research conducted by them has shown that under loud music on performance of physical and intellectual exercises leaves approximately on 20 % of more time.
The British Royal automobile club (RAC) has warned that if time of reaction of drivers so will decrease, they can get to deadly failure.
According to chief executive RAC Edmunda King, this research shows that “loud music not only delivers inconvenience to associates, but also can lead to failures”.
Under loud music the probability of journey on forbidding signal of a traffic light doubles.
The Canadian scientists in the research asked volunteers to carry out various tasks under music, changing loudness from 53 decibels (typical noise level at office) to 95 decibels (noise level on an oil derrick). Scientists have noticed that with growth of loudness reaction of people strongly fell at performance both physical, and intellectual problems.
At music level in 95 decibels reaction was slowed down on 20 % when participants of experiment had to make decisions.
Besides, as experts speak, the probability of failure raises, if the driver listens not quiet, but aggressive, rhythmical music, transfers BBC.
Konrad King – the psychologist advising RAC, asserts that drivers are necessary for approaching accurately to a music choice also because speed of compositions also influences probability of road incident.
”As a rule, if speed of a musical composition exceeds 60 blows in a minute at listeners palpitation becomes frequent and the blood pressure raises, – King speaks. – thus it is unimportant what music you listen: an opera, classics or the advanced rave. All business in blows in a minute”.
