With very good performance and with very good song Loreen from Sweden was among the favorites to win this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Loreen from Sweden performed song Euphoria at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. I must admit that with this song and with great stage performance she won deservedly. Therefore she fully justified that she is favorite at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. You can see 4 videos from Eurosong under the text. Enjoy.
But I must admit one thing. I do not know how it is in other countries, but in Croatia, 50 percent of the votes were awarded by a jury, and 50 percent of the votes were from citizens who voted. There is no doubt on the competence and integrity of the jury, but it is funny that five people decide on the five songs that go on, while millions of people decide on the rest of the songs that go on! To make matters worse, or funnier, they trying to say that five of them have more knowledge about music than a few million of us? Is this not ridiculous? I’m not saying that there are irregularities, but it opens many possibilities for that , even if they are honest people.
1. Betting houses already affected at people with “alleged” favorites, and that way they may affect somehow also on jury.
2. States due to political relations could benefit to their neighbors which is not uncommon, and therefore state may have political affect on the jury.
3. Some people because of private interests could influence the jury.
4. Jury could vote for their own interests as it suits them, and not how they really think.
So there are four options against this theory, and they are only one who really know how it was. Is there a logic? This way, remains open possibility that all can be very manipulated.
The biggest problem is, if five songs selected from millions of people, take place from 1-5, and five songs selected by a jury, take place from 6-12 points. Is this not wrong and ridiculous? Especially if that can not be checked anywhere, then manipulation has a huge open space.
I’m not saying that this happened but it can be that way. It is sad that I must write about this problem here, but I felt the need for that.
My favorites for the winners were the representatives of Greece and Romania.
Greece: Eleftheria Eleftheriou – Aphrodisiac
Romania: Mandinga – Zaleilah
Eurovision 2012 winner: Loreen – Euphoria
Croatia: Nina Badrić – Nebo
I must say that I’m not disappointed, although I had other favorites, but Loreen with song Euphoria was very good and no wonder they won. Deserved victory. Congratulations.
