Watching Laila Ali has inspired me to write songs. My best work comes from inspiration.
Watching Laila Ali has inspired me to write songs. My best work comes from inspiration. When I was watching Laila Ali box, it was very exciting. That same excitement became my song. Seeing her throw punches, seeing her beat down her opponents, and seeing her move fast made me motivated. I was moved to write.
Laila’s book, “Reach”, made me feel, and it made me know a little bit more about her. I could relate to what she was going through. When I saw the words finding strength, spirit, and personal power on the front cover, I could relate to those words. When I read about the problems that she was having and how she went to jail, I could feel her pain. I’m sure there are other people out there that can relate to her even more because I have never been to jail. However, trouble is trouble. We all have troubles, pain, and sorrows. We sometimes feel that we are not free. I have never been locked up in prison, but I know what it is like not to be free. There is no freedom in the hospitals when you are suffering depression. There is no freedom to laugh and to be happy when problems weigh you down. Our outcome may be different, but really we are all in the same boat. If we keep fighting, if we lift our heads up, if we do not give up, we can make it. That is what professional fighter Laila and her Father, Muhammad Ali, has shown us in the ring.
Here are the songs that I have written about boxing champion Laila Ali.

Thanks Eunice and Teves! Your comments mean a lot to me. I was wondering what some people thought. I’m getting beat up on YouTube so far, but that’s okay. I’m glad you all liked it.
