I love music and play it often, but lately I just love silcence.
Music can be nice and inspiring, but sometimes I just love to sit down and think.
There are moments all music feels like noise to me, blackening my ability to make up my mind or to write down my text.
Editing with music on is not my best trade.
I do feel musicians are fellow artist that deserve respect, but I do not feel the need to have music playing all the time.
Quite honestly I prefer to put on music and listen to it. There might be people who just like it as background sounds, but I don’t.
I can enjoy music, but I seem not to be able to work on it. If the music is great, because today it seems like the market is producing monotonous tunes to play in supermarkets.
I do not like pop music that much. It is made to get wasted. I like endurement. Give me tunes that have lasted for ages and or might stand the sands of time.
Yes, I love old traditional music, even classic at some moments, same as I love metal and rock. But I do not seem to able to cope with modern beats.
Do not ask me why, but I do get headaches of a lot of what they sell as music. I do not like to boycott, but I do get headaches listening to certain tunes.
I do not think certain music is meant to sit down and enjoy. Some tunes are made to dance on in loud discos. Kids seem to enjoy them for a moment and long for something else another.
Consumption is also what music is about. Making money is more important than the art for some labels and artists.
I do understand not all might like my love for folk, metal and folk metal and I do love to crank up the volume and head bang as well.
I might understand some get a headache from metal music, like I get it from techno. Thank goodness we are all different, or only few musicians might make a living.
The only problem I do have is that when I get out, I hear pop sounds all over radios and never what I like. Fact is I hardly ever listen to radios, unless it are worthy on line stations. But I do own a stag of Cds in different genres.
