Info About Starting a Band

How hard is it to really create a band? There is so much that has to be done and planned out, you have to find band members to play certain instruments, you have to write songs, record, book shows and most importantly play shows! Some people can’t handle the stress and just quit the effort, even thought starting a band is very time consuming, in the end it can be very rewarding for the true musician. There is also all the equipment expenses, electric bills, etc.

Some bands would go as far as hiring a manager
to help with running the band, booking shows, and settling deals. People will volunteer to be a manager others will request to be paid, if you try hiring a friend they may just help you for the fun of it and just to travel with the band and see other places.

There is only one downfall I have seen as being apart of a major band, you will travel on tour and be away from friends and family for short or long periods of time, it just depends on the tour you have planned but no matter what you have to deal with it once you are committed.

So if you are willing to put the time and effort into being in a band, go for it. If you really cant stay away from home for very long, just do what you think is right. But in my case I don’t regret ever being in a band, it is great fun.
