It is not of truth that songwriters invoke songs from some deities, as many have been led to belive. It is as natural writing songs just like eating lunch or dinner.
Picking up your pen and paper might mean a preparation to write some notes, essays, or any document your mind is set at writing. This is just the putting to view of the inner content which was not seen by the foreign sight, than the inner sight (mind), and the best outcome of such writing might be so rewarding in money or kind. So it is on song writing.
There are various ways or steps to songwriting. It is obvious that the mind creates, while the hands writes. Songwriting takes the combination of the inner man (mind) and the organs especially, the eye and the hand. Take it as simple as doing a scrabble, and a song is born. Think about variious tones blaring from the music you had listened to, some days, weeks, months and or years. Try to recall many of such tones. Let them run through the walls of your mind, with your mind’s eye focussed on one that was palatably blended (created).
The next step is for you to try to write down something similar to the one you held focus. This does not mean copywriting the song or songs as plagarism is a crime or offence, and you might be made to face the law. Put something down like a memory on a paper, and then try to give a tone.
You have written a song, which in turn would create the space for your writing more on genres. Believe what you have written, then let somebody or persons listen to your tone or song newly created. It is wise in all raminfication that one is permitted to criticize any of your writings otherwise; you might believe the wrong winning perch.
Consider the views and or the opinions of others concerning what you have written. Be careful on who the correction is given, as some or many a persons might criticize only to discourage your ability. Sing and possibly record it with your microsoft software, then forward it to the recording studio.
This is how I started writing songs, and now I have released my fourth Album. I have personally been to discouragement yet; being the master of the vision, I pushed ahead to success.
