How I Fell in Love with Lady Gaga..

Which song made me a follower of one of modern pop music’s most famous icons?

Okay, okay…first I heard “Just Dance” on the radio and I wondered to myself, “Who sang that song in such a…techy manner?”  Then I found out about “Bad Romance” quite by accident…and I fell instantly under the spell of the artist and singer known as Lady Gaga.

So after listening 50 times day after day to the…unusual love lyrics of Bad Romance, I impulsively decided to follow this singer’s progress or regress to fame.  10 songs and hundreds of repeats later, I’m still stuck on Lady Gaga’s latest releases, “Judas” and “Edge of Glory.”  Some people say they hate her music, that her song lyrics are shocking and inappropriate.  As for me, I think Lady Gaga’s songs are a good time on the dance floor and very energetic.  She says things in her songs that some people would never say aloud, but despite some profanity Lady Gaga never goes too far beyond the line of…normality.  And it is her eccentricity that is so diverting to follow…which is why I’m patiently waiting for her next album to be released.

I was skeptical of her at first and thought she was just a Madonna clone, however when I actually gave her music a chance, I realized that this woman is extremely talented and definitely deserves the spotlight. She is controversial and eccentric but so are most of the great entertainers of our time.
