Giving some thought to how music affects the work you do.
A couple of days ago, I was working as normal. I decided to turn my ipod on, and just play some music as I was getting bored. Since it was my ipod, it obviously had all the songs I enjoy listening too on it (err…Duh?). So, while listening, I got so into the music that I was only sub-consciously doing my work, and I wasn’t totally focused on it.
Before I knew it, I wasn’t only done with my work, but the time had passed by and I was in a real happy mood!
As I’ve thought about it, I’ve realized that music really does affect me. It can get me pumped, get my adrenaline running, and it can also help me fall asleep. However, it’s not just those things that are what affect me. It’s also the messages in the songs. How many times have you heard a great song, and just thought about the meaning of it? Many songs I enjoy bring back great memories from my past – the enjoyable times of my childhood. I can honestly say that music does more than affect my mood.
If you have any comments on how music affects you, please post in the comment box below! I’d love to hear about it…
