A matter of opinion.
Every person that listens to music has a favorite singer/songwriter.
Here is mine:
Billy Joel to me is the greatest singer/songwriter of all time. I mean every one of his songs is great. He has lots of albums, and is one of the top selling artists of all time. How could he not be?
He was great from the second he started. He has released way more albums then many popular bands, all with great songs.
He was an icon in the 70s and is still viewed as one today.
I have always viewed Billy as a hero. We are from the same neck of the woods. We have similar inspirations and other stuff.
Sorry, just had to say it because too many people hate on Billy.
