Eight questions to entertain rock fans.

You are probably used to some of the questions but let’s hear them here on Triond. I am providing my answers so I’d love it if you can share yours:
1) The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?
I am torn but Stones have better riffs and a more modern attitude so I am tempted to say Stones. But there are many Beatles songs that I am addicted to.
2) Aerosmith or The Rolling Stones?
I prefer Aerosmith. I find their music more fun and I love classic rock and glam rock.
3) Elvis Presley or The Beatles?
Torn again. I will call it a tie. I am a rocknroll addict and these guys inspired a lot of musicians. But Elvis’s voice must be the best, probably ever.
4) Hate or love glam rock?
Yes, I am talking about the whole glam craze in the 80s. We might trace it back to the 70s but it just went overboard in the 80s with all the clothes, hair and the music. Although the fashion was ridiculous, some reall fun rock was made: Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, KISS, Poison,Whitesnake and Warrant to name a few. So how do you feel about the whole thing?
5) Rock singer with the best voice?
Jon Bon Jovi (Bon Jovi). I am also positively biased about Brett Michaels (Poison), John Rzeznik (Goo Goo Dolls), Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), David Coverdale (Whitesnake), Michael Hutchence (INXS, ex-frontman), Freddie Mercury (Queen) and Steven Tyler (Aerosmith)
6) Rock singer with the worst voice?
Yep, who makes you cringe during a slow song? As much as it took me a while to get used to Guns n’ Roses, I love their music. But I just can’t stand their ultra hit Sweet Child O’ mine. Why? Axl Rose’s voice. I saw him on stage and he is a really good frontman but I’d rather listen to fast and hard stuff from him.
7) Best frontman?
Hmmmmmm…..So far I have seen a lot of bands live and a lot of them were great. I have to say a tie betwen David Coverdale and Jon Bon Jovi (and yeah, I am a Bon Jovi fan. I am not trying to hide it). They own the stage, even without expensive light shows or extra stunts. Their chemistry with the rest of the band members is amazing.
Best concert?
Including theatrics? Motley Crue. Those boys really can pull off a show, including drummer Tommy Lee’s upside down drum solo performance.
Obviously, I haven’t been able to see all bands and I never will be able to see some, since some band members of my favorite bands are dead.

The frizzy hair and tight jeans era were fun and funny times . Elvis, Beatles and Hendrix had great stuff that heavily influenced 80’s glam rock. After seeing Brett M slamming into a set and Steven Tyler and falling off stage, I just knew their time are over…however thanks for their great music.:)

It’s almost impossible to chose in here!! from the classic rock it is a fun and awesome to listen to them even today.I agree with the squeaky over toned Axl Rose’s voice being little worse but love his Knocking on heaven’s door song.

The 80’s were great. Fashions of excess, but enjoyable music.

Sharif, did Brett slam into a set? When? I still would pay to see
Poison. And Steven might just be getting old…
Hepsi, thanks:) The word squeaky was made for Axl;)
Videomark, I adore the 80s. It was so much fun. Who cares if the
fashion was bad? The music was so much fun.
Standingproud, I am a rock junkie- I know all these by heart;)
