What’s on your mp3 player?
You’ve been on the step machine for only ten minutes but you’re already out of breath and you know you need to listen to some tunes NOW to keep your motivation level up. Besides, you’re determined to impress the person who is on the machine next to yours and who expressed admiration that you programmed your machine for a seven hour workout. The bad news is that you still have 410 minutes left. The good news is that you have your mp3 player with you.
What do you listen to?
This first song came out right around my freshman year in high school. Hearing it over the intercom in study hall, I thought the name of the song was “Market Place” (I can’t believe I’m admitting this). I remember hearing a guy named Dan humming it during basketball practice, and I made the unfortunate decision to mention, “Hey, I really like that song Market Place.” He was a good guy though and didn’t give me TOO hard a time. Here’s Steven Tyler (Arwen’s dad) and the boys …
Led Zeppelin II, from start to finish, is one of the greatest albums of all time (well okay, maybe second only to John Denver’s Greatest Hits (hey I’m just kidding (I hope you know that))).
I saw these guys in Sioux City, Iowa, in one of the loudest concerts I ever attended. Pat Travers opened for them. Side One of the Fool for the City album would make even my grandma stand up and dance. Are you ready for a …
This next song, by Head East, has one of the coolest song introductions ever. Trust me.
When you think you can go no farther, John Kay and Steppenwolf will pick you up and keep you going. You don’t know what you might find …
What do you listen to when you’re working out?

Hi Nutuba: What do you mean by; I can’t believe that I’m admitting to this? Men are not not supposed to hide their age. That’s a woman’s thing. Anyway we know your age now. I like your collection. They are golden oldies. Thanks for sharing.
Monica.

Oh, I meant that I couldn’t believe I was admitting to thinking the song “Walk This Way” was really “Market Place.”
Yeah, I’m 47 (soon to be 48). I don’t hide my age, only my naivete.
