This is a fun article that shows some of the worst-dressed men and bands in the course of rock. Of course the 80s are included.

We forgave them for thrashing hotel rooms, drug addictions, extravagant booze consumption and we left it to their wives or girlfriends to forgive them (or alternatively kick their butts) when it came to groupies. But what is hard to handle is the terrible fashion sense. 80s have become synonymous with bad fashion; not that 60s or 70s were all that great either. So why don’t we look at some terrible styles:
The Rolling Stones:

Well, Mick Jagger never really cared about dressing when the band first started out, did he? Has anybody seen the Satisfaction video for instance? A purple, shapeless t-shirt with yellow pants? Really?
Judas Priest:

They certainly rock and they helped define heavy metal. And leather has always been a part of rock n roll wardrobe. I’ll here admit to owning a leather skirt and nice black leather jacket. But when a tough, hard rock band members combine leather with tights…It doesn’t exactly work. Men wearing tights have been a bad idea. Even though it is black.
Jon Bon Jovi

Bon Joviin the 80s. From the left: Keyboard player David Bryan, ex-bassist Alec John Such, lead-guitarist Richie Sambora, singer Jon Bon Joviand drummer Tico Torres. So who do you think was the worst dresser? Tough question, I know. Image via: http://3.bp.blogspot.com
Jon Bon Joviwill be first to admit that he can’t stand watching his old videos. How can he? 80s Bon Jovi videos are advertisements for bad fashion. Black leather tight pants with white sneakers, leopard skin pants and more. Yes, all glam bands were this bad. In and out of love is the perfect sample for both the era and the genre.
Steven Tyler:

Well, I am not sure if Steven Tyler ever completely let go of the “glamorous” style.

Twisted Sister:
Look to the top of the post.
So, who is worse then all these bands and men combined? Twisted Sister! Of course Twisted Sister is one of the rare bands who committed the fashion sins very consciously because they wanted to look weird, different and well, twisted. Front man Dee Snider admits to looking like drag queens. But they knew exactly what kind of statement they wanted to make and their recent concerts are no different either.

Very funny article. I would have thought you’re too young to like these guys though? Great work.

This is a great article haha. I absolutely love Steven Tyler, I’ve seen Aerosmith in concert twice and if I ever stop being so poor I might see them again this fall. His fashion sense is always entertaining to me.
