Five Indie Hotties You Mustn’t Miss.

Some women go for the vague and obscure. While it is known that mainstream artists always look good and wear the best and often times frilly and colorful outfits, some women manage to look hot without all the fancy make up and outrageous costume plays. Indie music is a genre usually undermined and taken for granted. But somehow these artists manage to exist in the underground community and maintain fame without giving in to mainstream antics and its overrated customs.

Check out these talented and sizzling ladies who are just too mysterious, you can’t help but crave for them.

1. Alexis Krauss

Indie has never been this hotter. Alexis can conquer a crowd just by merely standing onstage, but wait ‘til you hear her sing. She sings for the successful indie duo Sleigh Bells and thanks to N.E.E.T. Recordings, we’ve been enjoying her eccentric good looks and incredible talent since 2010. The duo’s latest album Reign of Terror was released February this year, and it made them instant darlings in the obscure world of indie.

2. Alice Costelloe

She’s the other half of the boy/girl duo Big Deal and we have nothing but pure admiration for her. She’s not only a pretty face but her grungy style makes us gape; that a girl as pretty as her could produce a sound so angsty it’s unexpected. Overall she’s a clash of two diverse worlds. She’s the right mix of cute and sexy and at the same time, she can produce that angry female impression that just makes her hotter than ever.

3. Kimbra

Despite her current mainstream success, courtesy of Gotye, Kimbra manages to exude a mystifying impression that makes people curious, thus wanting more of her. Her sexiness is so unconventional that she easily stands out among the rest of mainstream artists. Her rise to fame in the international scene is unexpected, but then back in her home turf (that is, New Zealand) she has already topped charts. Her debut album Vows is now available in the US and we’re sensing a mainstream crossover sooner or later.

4. Meg Myers

No one can be as unassuming as Meg. Her EP Daughter in the Choir was released against all odds, and the pretty musician managed to stir followers who are in great awe of her beauty and enormous talent. But don’t be deceived by her sweet, innocent looks. She isn’t just another girl with a guitar, or someone with the likes of Taylor Swift who wail about past loves. Her music has depth and a slight hint of angst that makes her unique in every sense.

5. Alice Glass

This rebellious front woman of Crystal Castles is so cool she defeated mainstream artists on NME Magazine’s Cool Icon. Hitting the number 1 spot is fitting for the sexy rock star but her garnering the record even makes it more difficult for us to describe her. She’s hot and she’s cool. She’s cool and hot? Either way, both still works. She’s radical and sexy and we love her music.
