Does Modern-day Music Ruin Music’s Originality?

     Can we call what we hear on the radio music? Maybe, maybe not. With the invention of “auto tune” more and more singers are becoming famous for a voice that isn’t even theirs, taking away the oppurtunity of those who have real talent but are never discovered. Yes, modern day music may be pleasant but the more and more today’s music is made, we lose sight of the originality of music.

     If you took some of your favorite singers and heard them sing face to face, chances are it will not sound how it does when you listen to it on your ipod, the radio, or your computer. Over 90% of the famous artists today use autotune. But auto tune can also be a good thing by providing us with decent sounding music. Sadly, however, our generation is moving on and with moving on you must let go and grasp new things. Some may still play original music, but they will never become as famous as today’s top artists because of the world’s lack of interest in original music.
