Discover Benton Paul

If you would have been looking at the iTunes store recently you would have seen that Benton Paul had been discovered by iTunes and presented as the Discovery Download of the week.  If you’ve heard of Paul before, you might be familiar with his debut album, “The Wise and the Weak”.  If you are, you would have heard catchy melodies that would have stayed with you.  With his second album, Grey, you recognize his melodies, but you would notice that his writing had gone to a whole new level.  There is much more depth and complexity to his writing and the production of his songs. 

Benton Paul just keeps moving forward and getting  more recognition.  Even the Jonas Brothers are a fan.  Joe Jonas declared Paul’s, “I Only See You” as his favorite song in a podcast January 18, 2009.  He has since begun playing with David Archuleta and is opening for him on his Christmas concert series.  This is just as he has released “Trois” to iTunes.  Three songs that show us that we can expect to hear more from him.  Also, that he just keeps getting better and better with each release. 

Run was selected as the discovery download.  It is an upbeat song that sounds much like an anthem.  It will be in your head all day once you’ve heard it.  Moon is a beautiful song that elevates your thoughts and inspires.  Wallsis more complex and reflective- all are beautiful songs.  If you haven’t heard Benton Paul it’s time you too discover Benton Paul.  He has proven he’s worth listening too and that the best is yet to come.
