"full resonance occupies my ears like indolent college dropouts…"

Greetings, dear readers. Discogkahvi comes back after a little break to cover a 2-song EP released by Blamstrain (is that pronounced “blams-train” or “blam-strain”?), who treated us previously to Kahvi release 034, called Linja. Recommended listening, if you haven’t heard it already. This new affair, an EP called “Goodbye p10/hello a16″, has got some beautiful, resonating ambience. Download here or YouTube below:
A low, full resonance occupies my ears like indolent college dropouts. It only grows and grows in scope through the first minute, some pulsing sounds by one and twenty. Said pulsing still rides this resonance, it’s by no means a lead. Percussiveness come one-fifty five-ish. Ambient indeed. This is some good sound, but a mite repetitive to write about – aha – there’s some sonic evolution, round three and forty-five – or is there? Despite the homogenity, this tune is captivating, so thus, I’m still here. Three minutes or so, later, there’s a cool flanged breakdown, a break from pattern, but the resonance remains. Tones like klaxons in a foggy evening, loud and red and indistict, but there, before the tune ends in a fade…
