Coldplay’s new highly anticipated album. Release date in article.
Coldplay have had four officialAlbums to date: Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to The Head, X&Y and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. They have also had numerous EP’ssuch as Safety, Brothers and Sisters, The Blue Room and Prospects March and have also made numerous singles to go with releases singles.
Coldplayare fairly slow to release albums but fairly slow with reason, when you make an attempt to fathom out their music it takes you a fair while as the lyrics and the music are woven in so deep that the meaning becomes unclear but continue searching and you will get a full understanding of heir music.
Viva la Vida literally means ‘Live the Life’so the album isn’t called Viva la Vida or Deathand All His Friends as they were indecisive over a title but it literally translates as Live or Die. Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friend was released on the 11thof June 2008 and had a nearly instant number 1 with the single Viva la Vida. This article was written on the 24th of February 2011 and there is still very little sign of a release date for the new album or even an official title (LP5 is just used as a reference at the moment).
They released the single Christmas Lights in December 2010 but apart from that there have been no songs released since the ones of Viva la Vida. As Coldplay takes a while to fathom out hopefully when LP5 is released it will be as meaningful as the others taking a while to really appreciate. The more they rush the release the less the album will be complete and close to perfection. I’m hoping for an album as good as Parachutes or A Rush of Blood to The Head as to me they symbolise to me what not only Coldplay but the whole of British music is about.
