On a professional level knowledge is what will motivate you. Knowledge will sustain you as you make a living off what you do. This is more than a hobby to you now, you are eating and sleeping off of your knowledge and hard work.
Seeking and applying what you have learned is what will bring you closer to the reality that your looking for. Never stop rehearsing and practicing. On that same note, you should never stop gaining knowledge as this will help you to become a better artist today than you started out as yesterday.
