Showing an artist recognition for what he/she does is one of the most full-filling things an artist can feel. The question arises and is asked of artist in the their field “What is it like selling music”? Here are some answers to those very questions.
Its Like Hearing Thought without Speech-
For every Cd that sells, for every song that sells it gives the feeling of a little pat on the back. This is a form of pure motivation in itself. For you to keep going based on you fans and friends enjoying what you do is thought without being spoken. Knowing that they believe in what you do is inspiration in itself.
It Keeps You Thinking Positively-
From the moment you wake till your eyes close at night to sleep, you think of ways you can improve. You think of ways you can better yourself as well as an artist. It gives you an inner energy and will to write, and record more, knowing the outcome is a great one. You want to give your all into everything you do knowing that it has an added value from friends and family that love what you do.
It Creates Reflection-
To see where you started to now gives you a reflection on the first time you made the choice to start on this journey that we call music. It causes you to flashback on what you did here and there the little things that have got you to this very moment in time. It gives the confirmation to your soul and spirit that your doing something right. The confirmation to yourself that you are in line with your destiny.
Showing an artist that their art is valuable is one of the grandest pleasures an artist can feel. Fans and Artists alike want to know what it is like selling music from an artists perspective. I hope this article has given that in site. My perspective on this question is this: “We don’t admire achievers because they achieve, we admire them because they inspire”.
