American Idol Season 11: San Diego California Auditions

American Idol Season 11 held auditions today aboard the USS Midway in San Diego, California.  The show was packed full of entertainment, and they took full advantage of the later time slot to add some much needed skin to the show.  This night was full of highlights that would blow your mind.  There were daughters of celebrities, scantily clad women, booty shakers, and money makers, so without further ado let’s recap this amazing show.

     The first audition of the day was the sexy Jennifer Diley.  Dressed in a bikini top and some of the shortest booty shorts ever seen in history, Jennifer hoped she would be able to wow the judges with more than just her ample assets.  Sadly the judges were not impressed with Jennifer’s voice as much as they were impressed with her sex appeal, and they had to send her home without a golden ticket.

     Next up was an amazing contender for America’s Next Top Model, oops I meant American Idol.  Aubrey Dieckmeyer was so nervous before her audition she could not seem to remember what show she was auditioning for.  Fortunately for Aubrey she remembered she was trying out for a singing competition, and gave one of the best performances of the night.  The judges were impressed and put her through to Hollywood.

     A long time ago Ellen DeGeneres was a judge on American Idol, but after she left the show I was not expecting to see her face again.  Well the San Diego auditions brought back a ghost from the past.  Alli Shields would make the second television appearance of her life on American Idol, but her first appearance was as a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres show.  Alli was a funny, funny girl and she joked around with the judges by rapping, and dropping it like it was hot, finally the judges told her to get serious, and she turned out to be a very good singer. Alli will definitely be making more TV appearances, because you will see her in the Hollywood auditions.

     What would any California audition be without at least one celebrity name dropped on the show?  San Diego’s auditions dropped a big one in the form of Jim Carey.  Jane Carey, the daughter of the great comedian Jim Carey tried to make a name for herself by singing her heart out on her audition.  The judges were impressed and moved her on to the next round.  Afterwards Jane enjoyed a celebratory phone call with her famous father.

     The last contestant of the day was Jason “Wolf” Hamlin.  Walking into his audition, Jason held a hand made guitar made by his dearly departed father.  He was determined to make his father proud, by following his dream.  Despite some initial nerves,  Jason proved he was a contender.  He wowed the judges with some great guitar playing, and a fantastic country voice.  You can expect big things from this contestant. 

     The San Diego auditions for American Idol Season 11 put through many more contestants into the Hollywood rounds.  This show will go down in the books as one of the best shows in American Idol history.  Next stop for the show will be in Aspen, Colorado.  Stay tuned Wednesday January 25, 2012 as the auditions are going sky high in the Mile high State.
