Here we will take a look at 10 songs with red in the title, in no particular order. Hope you enjoy.
This song was the last single taken from the self-titled debut album of Billy Ocean. It reached number 2 in the UK charts but didn’t even chart in the US.
This song has gone by many different names over the years and its origin is quite controversial. This version by Johnny and the Hurricanes was released in 1959, reaching number 5 and number 3 in the US and UK charts respectively.
Lost Witness were DJ duo Simon Kemper and Simon Paul and this song featured vocals by Tracey Carmen. It reached a peak of number 22 in the UK charts. Not much has been heard of them since!
This song was the single that came in between their two most famous songs (Creep & Waterfalls). It reached number 2 in the US charts and number 18 in the UK charts.
This was the fourth single released from the 1996 album Bilingual. It was just another top 10 hit for the Pet Shop Boys, reaching number 9 in the UK charts the year after the album was released.
Originally recorded in German as an anti cold-war song it was re-recorded into English as 99 Red Balloons. Singer Nena had her only chart success with this song reaching number 2 and number 1 in the US and UK charts respectively.
The original version of this song was written and performed by Neil Diamond but it never charted in the UK. The same year it was written, it was covered by Jimmy James and the Vagabonds who took it to number 36 in the UK charts.
A lot of people casually presume that this was the original (see above) but it was actually released 15 years after. Although, it did sell a lot more and managed to reach the number one spot in the UK charts.
This was the first Sugababes song to feature the vocals of new member Amelle Berrabah. It was the third single taken from their album Taller In More Ways. It peaked at number 4 in the UK charts.
This Basement Jaxx song was released in 1999. It was just another top 10 hit for the band and it peaked at number 5 in the UK charts.
