Or at least 10 songs that has something to do with a deck of cards in the title. Hope you enjoy and find at least one of these songs you like.
Dave Edmunds biggest hit was the UK number one ‘I hear you knockin’ in 1970. This song was released nine years later and managed to reach a decent number 11 in the UK charts.
In 1974, Andy Williams may have taken this song to number 4 in the UK charts but this Carpenters version didn’t do as well. Released in 1975 it only managed to reach number 32 in the UK charts.
Taken from the album Powerslave, this Iron Maiden song managed to reach number 20 in the UK charts on release in 1984. It rocks!
Although this song has been covered by many different artists and bands over the years, this was the only one that was a hit in the UK. Released by Ned Miller in 1963 it peaked at number 2 in the UK charts.
For those of you who don’t know, Lonnie Donegan can best be described as the king of skiffle. This song from 1957 managed to reach a peak of number 14 in the UK charts. Not bad considering!
Not one of KC and the Sunshine Bands most famous songs but it was still quite a big hit back in the day. It managed to reach a rather impressive number 7 in the UK charts way back in 1974.
Steve Miller is only really known in the UK for two songs; this is one of them, the other is ‘Abracadabra’. Both had been released years before but not done that well. This song was used in a Levi Jeans advert in 1990 and on re-release stormed to the number one spot in the UK.
Killing Joke were a bit of a joke – well to a lot of people they were. This song was released in 1985 but only managed to reach a peak of number 58 in the UK charts.
Taken from her debut album ‘The Fame’, this song became her second single. Just to confirm how big a hit this was, it reached the top spot in the charts of the US, the UK, Australia, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, Spain, Norway and France (to name but a few).
Who could ever forget such a wonderful song as this? No one, that’s for sure. It was Motorhead’s biggest hit in the UK and on release in 1980 reached a peak of number 15 in the UK charts.
