Slipknot – Antennas to Hell Review

I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a new Slipknot album, considering that it’s a Greatest hits album again, it felt like they were due. After the passing of Paul Grey, I was contemplating if they were going to release another album or just disband. “Antennas from Hell” is a compilation of their greatest hits as well as live tracks from 2009 Download Festival when it was the last time Grey performed with the group. This album was more of a best of Slipknot featuring Paul Grey.
This album gives you tracks such as Wait & Bleed, (Sic), People = Shit, Duality, Purity, Psychosocial, Dead Memories & Left Behind. This album gives you both the studio versions and Live versions. So if you’d rather have Live, they have you covered. The greatest hits album that was launched in 2010 was OK, it had its moments but had a lot of filler involved. I listened to this album from front to back and unlike other bands greatest hits albums, Slipknot, makes sure this is classic with no filler. It is a double disk so if you can’t find your favorite track on this album, please tell me what that track is because “Antennas From Hell” cover all the bases. “Purity” is one of my favorite tracks and the live version is Epic!!!
I absolutely loved this album, I listened to it before work these last couple of days and not only was I kick’n A$$ but I was so motivated to do everything. The double disc has a total of 36 tracks, 17 Studio versions of their greatest hits and 19 Live versions. Pick this album up!!! Good Metal has been hard to come by these days never mind Greatest hits albums but this one is indeed a keeper. Stay (sic) my friends!!!
