We pay to listen to sounds?

In the recent years the music industry has boomed and they have been able to make billions off of the songs that people write and sing. The usual song that you download are free, but most of the time illegal. The ones that you download off of iTunes or or provider is legal, but you pay for it.

Music is sound and we are paying to listen to the sounds that people make. Why is the music not free. In many people’s minds it should be. In others they just want money.

Music is a compilation of sounds that a person puts together. Psychologically, the compilation of sounds that are appealing get bought more or downloaded more often. These usually generate more money.

In another form we we pay to listen to concerts. These concerts are rock, classical, or other. It is understandable that people pay to gain entrance and listen to actual people playing. The people need to make a living and so they play at live concerts to get that money.

But the part not understood by some people is that the sounds that are recorded also have to be paid for.

The recorded sound costs money because they feel that they should be paid so that you can have access to it whenever you want and paid for you to be able to manipulate it. But also more inportantly the people want to make sure that you do not make more moeny than them from the music that they paid to release.
