Insane Clown Posse “Miracles”

This is a song by Insane Clown Posse, and its basically them talking about what they believe are miracles, or “magic”. My first reaction when I started to listen to the song was that these guys are really good, they are just good musicians, that can’t be denied. The music is actually very good, yet what really caught my attention was the content of the song, especially what they believed to be miracles. First off, everything that they named can be explained by science, and honestly, nothing was even too complicated. I’ve diagnosed them both with a forced ignorance when it comes to this stuff; they know that scientists have explained all of these things, but they are basically putting blocking their ears and screaming “LA LA LA LA LA”, akin to a little kid who doesn’t want to hear what his mother or father wants to say. There is a line in the song that actually says, “and I don’t want to talk to a scientist, y’all motherfuckers lyings, and getting me pissed.” This is a very concise statement that they don’t wish to believe in the science behind these things, which is ignorant as anything. After I had listened to this song, I thought ICP was a duo of ignorant middle aged men. Nothing has changed my mind to this day… And I state my case.
