This is part one where I will give easy ways for you to create your own music. I will be focusing more on the free aspects.
Want to try making a beat? It’s easier now than it has ever been. In this article I will be highlighted some ways to get you started mostly for FREE. All you need is a good ear and some basic knowledge of music! If this is too simple for you, check out PART 2.
A good-easy program for beginners to start with, for those with macs, is Garageband . They have added new beginner-friendly features such as: Take piano and guitar lessons, Learn from your favorite artists and re-create legendary guitar rigs. For those of you who don’t have Macs, Sony Acid Music Studio is only $54.95 and is just as easy to use as Garageband. If you like it you should upgrade to the full version Sony Acid Pro. Fruity Loops is also very simple to learn, but difficult to master. Most programs have a free-trial so feel free to look around for the one you like best.

For anyone that’s just barely beginning, you might want to start out with just using other people’s loops just to get a hang of things. You can get many free loops here:Free Loops. You can get drum patterns, vocals, guitar samples anything you want to make the song you want and there is little margin for error. Just organize the samples in the order you want them how you desire. For more free loops just google “Free Loops.”
Remixing is very similar to using loops, in fact it’s exactly the same. Here’s a link to a file I have prepared filed with custom WAV tracks that you can manipulate: “Free Will” .You can send me any remixes you make me via email at djgunfire@live.com. Another place you can get free remix files is Remix.nin.com. Here you can get remix files from all of Nine Inch Nails most recent albums and listen to other people’s remixes and get some feedback. Which leads me to my next topic. I will also be making more remix files for you to download which I will post in part 2.
