What its like for zappa to play small gigs (running joke zappa played lots of small gigs and had weird music everyone scratched their head too.

It’s June 23 on a stormy Tuesday when Frank Zappa and his band walks into the front doors of John the Baker, the local Italian restaurant in Cooper City. The people are in silence as Zappa and the Mothers walk slowly to the stage. The announcer announces that Zappa is today’s guest and he will play a live set that will include Bobby Brown and Joe’s garage. Before the band play Zappa exclaims “Its a pleasure to play here, even though I don’t like playing at John the Baker.” The band hits the groove with the jazzy number Bobby Brown. The crowd doesn’t applaud but instead boos at them and says “this is the worst piece of garbage I have ever heard.” The band nervously tries to play at their best but the crowd begins to boo even more and throw remnants of their food. Music stops and Zappa says sorry for his lousy music that was played and that he will do better next time. Enraged Zappa and band start a fuss and get on the bus to go play somewhere else. To this day this moment will be remembered in rock history as being one of the worst concerts in history. To all you Zappa fans I hope I didn’t offend them in any way Zappa is a great musician that played odd music and if you looked up his gigs that he played, they are often small amphitheater’s, little clubs, and sometimes even bars. RIP Frank Zappa you are the biggest legend in experimental music.
