A heavenly orchestra…
I wish every day were a Friday, I personally feel it to be the fanfare to the weekend. It is as if a heavenly orchestra builds up day by day to this very moment. Monday sees the opening, the conductor raises his baton, and, in front of a silenced audience, he leads the first instruments in. Tuesday, is the period for setting the mood, paying attention to pace, and timing. Wednesday signals the works required to the unfinished symphony, and Thursday is the final chance to complete and prepare for Friday. Friday is the final dress rehearsal before Saturdays performance. No wonder God claimed Sunday as a day of rest!
There must be a plethora of folk out there all waiting for Friday, because this is the day I see more people smiling in the street. It is almost as if there is a silent understanding of the magic of this day! Children leave school happy in the knowledge they have two whole days of freedom, dreaming of their adulthood, when they can make any day their Friday. Office staff and manual workers, start making their plans for a long lazy week-end. Most will finish early on this day, their motto ‘let the week-end begin’.
Me, I just go with the flow, happy in my own small world, wishing every day was a Friday!
